The Class of 1989 has decided to do our Community Service Project as a food drive with a local organization known as The Crisis Ministry. We are collecting much needed food items at our Headquarters throughout the weekend as well as gift cards in any amount to donate to the cause.
IN ADDITION, we have set aside Friday morning from 9-12noon to work at the Crisis Ministry Food Pantry in Trenton. PLEASE let me know at tsangcohen@gmail.com if you can assist us in this endeavor. We NEED volunteers to drive and help out to stock the food pantry and/or deliver food to those in need.
The website is www.thecrisisministry.org. There is a list of acceptable food donations on the website. The essential goal of Crisis Ministry's Food Program is to prevent hunger by providing nutritious food for low-income people in Mercer County.
